PROST Maurice (1894-1967)
Animalist, Prost studies with Morice, Gardet and Valton. He looses on arm during the war and becomes a drawing teacher for a living, while working on animal sculptures as a hobby. His style is a mix of realism and simplification of shapes keeping the spirit of each animal. In 1931, he exhibits at the Exposition Coloniale and the Exposition Internationale in 1937. He also has his work exposed very often in Salons and at the Susse gallery.
