POUPELET Jeanne (1874-1932)
She is said to be the first women to study at the Beaux art of Bordeaux. As a contemporary of Pompon, her animal artwork reminds of him by the simplification of the shapes. She also studied feminine body with a sensual appoach wich was encouraged by Rodin and Appolinaire. She becomes the first woman to be a member of the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts and is posthumously part of the “Maitres de l'Art Indépendant”.
