ORLOFF Chana (1888-1968)
Born in Russia, Orloff moves to Paris in 1910 and studies at the Arts Décoratifs and the Academie Russe. Surrounded by the parisian artists like Picasso, Apollinaire or Modigliani, she exhibits her first wooden busts in 1913. During the 1937 Exposition Internationale, she is one of the “Maitres de l'Art Indépendant”. Her very stylized shapes, close to cubism will be exhibited in Europe, United-States and Israel.
