NAVELLIER Édouard (1865-1944)

Related to Jouffroy, he first starts painting before finding interest in sculpture, especially animals. His artwork will be exposed at the Salon des Artistes Français from 1895 and at The Salon d'Automne in 1903 will be the subject of a retrospective in 1945. mostly made out of bronze, his creations are very realistic and precise. Around 1930, his work becomes more stylized. He always works his materials with famous foundries and editors such as Colin, Godar and Valsuani.
