MITORAJ Igor (1944-2014)

Former student of Tadeusz Kantor at the Cracow Beaux-Arts Academy. He travels to france, Italy or Mexique before moving to Italy in 1979. He starts working with marble and later terracota and bronze. His large scale statues are displayed in many european and american cities and feature fragmented bodies, disembodied heads and limbless torsos. He exhibited in many public places and at the Venice Biennale.
