MIKLOS Gustave (1888-1967)
After taking drawing classes and exposing his paintings at the Salon d'Automne in Paris, Miklos quit with painting and starts sculpting, influenced by Lambert-Rucki. He works with embossed metal, copper and silver which he brightens with lacquer. After a successful presentation at the Effort Moderne's galery in 1923, his style takes place and showcases long and hieratic figures with either extreme stylization or abstract geometry. Part of the 1937 Exposition Internationale, he later becomes an art teacher in Oyonnax.
