MACMONNIES Frederic William (1863-1937)
Born in New-york, he starts sculpting very early. After learning at Saint-Gauden's workshop, he becomes his assistant. He will after be taught by Falguiere at les Beaux-Arts in Paris. His work is noticed at the Salon des Artistes Français in 1889. His allegorical and military sculptures are often exhibited in France. He uses bronze cast by Rouard or Rudier.
