LEONARD Agathon (1841-1923)
Taught by Delaplanche, he exhibits busts and classic subjects at the Salon des Artistes Français. From 1899 he is part of the jury of the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts presided by Rodin. He is famous for his dansers suclptures from le « jeu de l'écharpe » exposed in 1897, made out of plaster. They are reproduced in biscuit by la Manufacture de Sèvres and in bronze by Susse.
