JACQUEMART Henri Alfred (1824-1896)
He is known for conceiving many animal figures and historical characters for many monuments such as Hotel de Ville, Trocadero or Saint-Michel fountain. His teachers at the parisian Beaux-Arts were Gelaroche and Klagmann. He is active at the Salon from 1847 to 1879. Many of his bronzes were cast by Barbedienne.
