HOETGER Bernhard (1874-1949)
He learned to sculpt on wood and stone before he was in charge of a religious cabinet making in Germany. He later moved to Paris, worked in Rodin's workshop and was influenced by Meunier in depicting streetlife and its residants. He also mastered other styles such as Art Déco, after trying the Art Nouveau style through the themes of women and groups, represented through various objects such as lamps and storage trays. Most of his bronzes are cast by Blot.
