GUILLEMIN Emile (1841-1907)
Guillemin is very inspired by Orientalism. His work follows a heroic and exotic genre treated with an extreme realism. He is very active at the Salon from 1872, exhibits many women made out of bronze and cast by Barbedienne among others. Some artworks made out of plaster are also very orientalism inspired. He later worked with the son of Barye on a bronze called “Cavalier arabe”.
