César BALDACCINI (1921-1998)

Also called “César”, he is a french sculptor who studied at the Beaux-Arts of Marseille then Paris for many years. He worked with scrap iron because it was the cheaper way of creating sculptures for him. He will later work with plaster and iron and will have his first exhibition in 1954. He presented his work in Salon de Mai in Paris and the Museum of Modern Art in New York among others. César is the creator of the bronze trophy used for the french César ceremony.
